Mendo NF Mill Fire VOLUNTEER DAY, 10am-4pm Saturday, 6/15/13 and Free ATV Course

Mendocino National Forest (MNF) is holding its monthly forest rehab volunteer work party to address the aftermath of the Mill Fire. A completed volunteer agreement form is required to participate if you haven’t submitted one previously. To obtain a form, please contact Paige at: or 530-968-1328.

Per MNF: "The USFS safety guidelines make it mandatory to wear the following safety items… boots, gloves, eye protection, hard hat, long sleeves & pants. We will supply extra hard hats and gloves for those who are unable to bring them."

Vouchers for free camping Saturday night at Davis Flat Campground will be available to participants at the event.

Date for MNF to re-open effected roads and trails is June 1st.

Per MNF: "Also, on the 15th of June, Father’s Day weekend, we will be offering a Free ATV riding course. Fathers, bring your children, wives and ATV’s to participate in this family fun adventure! Not only is this course FREE, it has dealer incentives and is a great way to spend time with your loved ones. Maximum of 8 participants, so sign up fast! All participants must have an ATV to participate. Free camping for those who participate.

WHEN: 10 AM - 2 PM on Saturday, June 15th
WHERE: Nail Tracks on the Mendocino National Forest
WHO: All ages welcome. Parents must supervise if participants are under age 16. Must provide your own ATV.
HOW: Call ASI instructor Ryan Chamberlin @ 408-821-9194 to register and ask questions.
WHAT: Free camping for those participating in the course.
