Berlin-Kiev in late sept, anyone up for it?

Looking at a visit around Kyiv and the Dnieper valley around Chernobyl..... anyone done this before? Any advice? Which road to go for good landscape? Anyone interested in joining?
I'm doing a bit of environmental work and would like to visit the exclusion zone north of Kyiv, to visit around the Chernobyl area (there are some guided tours for this which I'm interested in) Not sure how good an idea this is but maybe somebody can shed some light on this for me :-)

It's a bit of birthday surprise for a good friend of mine- who's half Ukrainian in fact :-)
And I've never been to Poland, despite being a quarter Polish myself... so it's about time.

I should be getting a DR800 soon so would be a nice testbed for Mr BIG!!
Day 1: Berlin Warsaw (about 600km)
Day 2: Warsaw Kyiv (about 750km)
Stay up for 2-3 days, then head back.

Some years ago it was rather easy then now. Some of riders performed it by their bikes.

Now its legally possible only with spesial permit. Illegal visit may cause communication with patrol, penalty or bribe or bike arrest.

But the most dangerous meeting is with the local fauna. It composed of wild animals which are living at so unique reserve.

Better way is to take tour. For example here:

Next tour will be 21-22.09.2013. But its too coustly. I know tour not so expensive.

Google recomends the best way Warshawa-Kovel-Sarny-Korosten-Kiev is good choice. Road throught forest regions names Polesie. You will go by authentic communities. Its realy interesting to see and to feel if you are first time here.
