From there site:

Important Cradle Use:
The RAM side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin environment. The side clamping cradle is only a light weight cradle and may not hold your device in a high vibration situations as found on a motorcycle. If you intend on using the mount on a motorcycle, it is recommended that you secure the mounted device with a lanyard.
No, I have not used it on a trail. I have far too many trail gps units to need to stick my iPhone on the bike. It's not that I don't think this would work, but there are trails, and then there a TRAILS, if you catch my drift.

The mount construction really is solid, and the arms have strong tension which you could supplement with heavy elastic bands across the pairs if you're worried.

If I didn't have a gps, I'd use the mount with my iPhone and Otterbox.

Ok that does look good and sturdy.
Ok I will go back a bit on why and see if I am crazy, well insane crazy then.
I have a Montana GPS and the only reason I was thinking about the iPhone was a trip master cap heading iPhone app for rally. So 20 for the app and 30 for the cradle. Is the Montana better and will it do it? Idiot with the gps need a sit down and training session on it lol.

Thanks

GPSCity I now have a delima! I just purchased a new Garmin 350LM, for an awesome price, but now I need another handlebar mount and power supply cable. I have two bikes and the new unit cradle is hard wired to one of them. Sooooo, I need to get a cradel and power suply cable but I can't find the handlebar cradel on the GPSCity website. Any help?

Edit; I found the mount, cradel and power cable at the expressmounts.com. However it would not accept the 15% code, so I paid full pop. Is the discount only for Ram products? Thanks

I just placed an order for a Dakota 10 and Ram mount.
My GPS IQ is pretty darn low, so I'm going to start simple and see where that leads.

Riding season is still some months away, so I should have plenty of time to figure this thing out.
Thanks for the good prices.

Don't need the guy specifically. Look at the 1st page and decide which of the 3 vendors to use. Then use the code a page or 2 back for 2014. At the checkout put in the coupon code, you'll get a 15% discount and have your parts in a few days.

I tried both last night and it said that the correct item was not in the cart for the code. It appears it may be just for RAM gear...?

The discounts were for the ram products and specific Garmin Montana Bundles. At least that was my understanding.
