RA Rally?

Who is heading down to the RA Rally at the Biltmore in Ashville?

http://www.bmwra.org/d/

I'm going, and my wife may or may not go with, but I am curious who else is going to be there?

Post up if you are going!

Jim

Hey Jim,
We'll be there helping to build the Trials Track, similar to what has been happening at the MOA rally the last several years. Lots of fun, for riders and spectators alike.
Also bringing some small DS bikes to rent for anyone wanting to play on the track after the competition.

Dan

Coming down from Boston, a quick 2 day solo effort then two up for 10 days - due to snow days my missus (school teacher) is going to fly into RDU thu am then a off slab ride up to the Biltmore.

We have an entire week to get back to New England. The thought of several day of unplanned destinations is making me daydream just a little too much.

As to the RA rally, I've been to the Biltmore a couple of times before (cage only) but its a fabulous place and am really looking forward to showing it and the area, to my New England missus.

Cheers

Sounds like a blast to me!

I was at the RA a few years ago at the Biltmore. It was a lot of fun, but the organizers planned for 2000 and nearly 4000 showed up. Logistically it sucked. I have a hotel this time.

Jim

PS My wife is talking about not going since she had foot surgery, so I might need a roommate.

Someone told me registration is at the BMW dealer in Ashville.... NOT THE MAIN GATE. I have not verified this yet, JUST A HEADS UP.

Advanced Big Bike DS Ride set for Thursday at the rally

Plan on leaving the rally grounds at 11 AM sharp, eat before or bring a snack, no time for eattin on this ride. We'll blast down toward Cullowhee, NC ending at the Wayehutta OHV Trail system. This is a great area that is perfect for the big bikes. All trails are marked as to level of difficulty similar to a ski resort with green, blue, and black ratings. Please remember there is a $5 charge to ride this area. On the way back we'll ride Wolf Mountain Rd then a relaxing run on the Blue Ridge Pkwy back to the Biltmore.
CLICK HERE for a video of the area.

Our K1200rs going two up might benefit from the upgrade.
