yes it is... it' really close to the main-gate... just across the railroad tracks and through a constantly congested intersection

if anybody wants to go for a beer, just holler (prolly not going to the event itself)

Please remember there is a $5 charge to ride this area. On the way back we'll ride Wolf Mountain Rd then a relaxing run on the Blue Ridge Pkwy back to the Biltmore.
CLICK HERE for a video of the area.
I won't be heading up until Thursday evening with Bandy. Any plans to do something similar on Friday or Saturday? Can't wait!

Wicked RA Ralley camping on Site

I'm In. Camping on the Biltmore site.
Bring your Nice White Terry Cloth Robe. (Inn at the Biltmore has a nice outdoor Pool) Try and look "Distinguished", They don't allow freeloaders.

In again

Barbie and I went in 2007. We worked registration on Friday and it was a nightmare; but everyone got taken care of.

The problem in 2007 was that no one considered that the site was a "natural" for women. More women attended this rally than any rally in the history of the RA or the MOA. Barbie loaded up on shoes at TOPS.. a 3 story building with tons of shoes AND they mailed her shoes home for her.

The camping and the vendors have been switched so there will be lots more room for camping. In 2007, the facilities were inadequate, but that will not be the case this time. The French Broad River runs next to the campsite; but it is cool water even in the hottest of summers.

Bob of Bob's BMW, led a great ride on Saturday for Pediatric Brain Tumor and threw a great party afterwards. Our hosts were very gracious and the wine tours are top notch.

We slept in our tent in 2007; but we will have our Sporttent mounted on the back of my Chevy 2500 long bed this time.

Pets are welcomed. We will bring both our beagle and rat terrier. The rat terrier likes to ride and the beagle is a good camp dog.

The local breweries are terrific; but be careful, this is not 3.2 alcohol content.

Anyone looking for the path less traveled from DC/Maryland, should consider the Trans Eastern Trail. Specifically, tracks TET5, TET6, and TET7.

Get the skinny and GPX here:

There will be an Easy guided ride both Friday and Saturday leaving the rally grounds at 8 AM. Also there will be open practice on the GS Trials Track Friday 10-12 and again at 1-2PM, also Saturday from 9-3PM.
