In my humble opinion, unless the gsa version were to have proper high end wp suspension, it'd be the same crap heap with some decorations and more weight. Just what we need.

Shouldn't the 800 be on a trailer behind one of the GTL's?

I don't see the point in the endure mode... I don't see why anyone would want any bit of traction control or ABS off road. I could understand if you just had 1 button to shut everything off.

I don't understand either, and judging by your avatar pic you ride aggressively offroad.

I think for a lot of people the GS is their first foray into riding on anything but pavement so maybe it keeps things from getting out of hand on the dirt. The same way ABS helps riders who would otherwise lock the wheels up and end up high/low sided.

Plus a lot of BMW owners don't go off road that much I think. That way they still have a commuter.

My dealer says they will be out this summer as early as June with a $15k price tag. Of course I find this the day I take delivery of an 800GS too rich for my blood, unless I lived in the 48.

It will be interesting to see how many people buy it at that price. 15k MSRP plus farkling is going to cost easily 20k once everything is factored in.

Over here, the first batch of 800GSA will be sold as The Launch Edition which will come with the aluminum panniers and other accessories... suckers keeners will pay.... if I were in the market for one, I'd wait and order it without factory installed accessories and farkle it my way.
