Costa Rica, Jaco to San Josa (Santa Ana)

The only way to go from Jaco to San Jose is a highway with tolls. Stopping for tolls on a moto sucks.

This is my day trip. FIND A NEW WAY OVER THE MOUNTAIN!

What a great ride. Some of the best views in Costa Rica.

This took me 3 hours. Normal highway is 1:15 but I did stop many times for photo's. The ride was all dirt except the 6 miles. The last 6 where on fun twisting roads.

For me being a gringo in Costa Rica is blows my mind where I see people. I have not seen a person in a hour then a swimming hole and there. Where did they come from?

WHAT A GREAT DAY

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Where did you jump off the Costañera and head inland? I did the 239 route a while back but picked it up down in Parrita.

Jaco to Santa Ana

If you go to this map (link below). You can zoom right in. Change to hybrid mode on the upper right of screen. Coming from the north going south. It's across the street from the 2nd right into Jaco. Across from a green store. Looked like a mini walmart.

Some advice on ride. 1st few miles are flat. At fork stay left then it gets steep but nice gravel road. NOT SLICK MUD. At T go left and wow what a great view. No fuel up there but there was food after the T.

I was a great ride
Good Luck
