Well I'm thinking of becoming a paid-up member of the Kropotkin fan club because it seems to me the race is explained beautifully by motomatters.com's Saturday Round-Up.

We don't know what tyres they ended up using (well, I don't) but that last-corner lunge from Marquez looked to me like the move of a rider who had a lot more confidence in his front rubber than Lorenzo did.

What astonished me was how well Lorenzo rode with the tyre that he had. He had been tip-toeing into the slow corners from about half race-distance. Through those two successive fast rights, he seemed to be loading the tyre slowly but carrying so much mid-corner speed that he was leaving Marquez for dead on exit, seamless gearbox notwithstanding.

Marquez might have been struggling for rear grip. Pedrosa seemed to have plenty tho.

More processional than we expected perhaps but great racing. With Marquez almost solely responsible for the show.

Pedrosa has delivered his answer to Schwantz, if anybody still remembers those comments.

Another good race. It was nice to see Pedrosa prove he can still be the fastest guy on the track on any given Sunday. Marquez sure makes it exciting but I can't help to think he's going to crash out of a couple of races before the season is over. Hopefully, he doesn't take anyone else with him if he does go down.

lmao Jorge gone be PISSED. MM used him as a berm!

edit: Hahaha, it begins.

Matthew Birt@birtymotogp 23m Lorenzo has blanked Marquez twice already. First a handshake in parc ferme and now refused to tap champagne on podium. Let battle commence

This doesn't bode well for Yanaha unless they find some more horses.

My thoughts exactly. All he needs to do now is make a comment like " 99 will never win another race!"

Hmmm, the parallels are there no doubt ... but are we forgetting that Marquez's overtake was not for the win?

Even Lorenzo admitted he made a mistake by leaving the door open. Anyone that claimed Dani's career was over needs to re-evaluate now. Perfect ride by him, but the most exciting racing was Lorenzo and Marquez...brilliant stuff!

You regret the comparison, or is Pedrosa "Casey Stoner-like"?

Great stuff - this is turning into a really fun year. Well, except it doesn't look like Rossi is enjoying it too much. Seems the young guns picked up the pace a bit while he was away noodling around on the Duc.
