Yea, 7/21 & 22 the MTRA club grounds would be open for the regular ride weekend, but I will open the johns and shower for the night of 7/28. So it will be open, but a private party.
It's the only weekend that works for me this year, got a wedding the 22, and I'll be in the Smokies riding the BRT the first two weekends of September.
I'm in Canada riding now but as soon as I get back I will see if I can get some kind of a discount deal set up at one of the St. Gen, motels. I'll post that info next week if I am successful.

Hey Sportbike711, thanks for the help offer, this ride is about a done deal as for as set-up goes, but I'll keep you in mind if Linda and I run into a snag. BTW I'm trying to put a ride from Bixby to Arkansas together, find me some good tracks for that and a good camp and motel.

Whoaaa.. That would be interesting!

By the asphalt tarmac I know it well to Mountain home... Via....the stone path and horse trail will be the slight challenge..

You want that a 2 day or one day in the saddle..? 50/50 trail and tarmac?

Thanks - it sounds like the date is firm for 28-29 September then. Being able to get a shower and having the VTRA campground area to ourselves sounds good!

Wink

Since I am a newbie to this group I will make an assumption.

Departure time and additional details will be posted before the ride?

Not too over simplify it but start when you want. Think of it this way, you are on your own ,,,,,,,,,,,,, with a lot of other like minded people on the same roads at the same time, That said you should be prepared to take care of yourself, but there will be a bunch of people that will help you with whatever you may need, There will be plenty of people to group up with also. BE THERE and you will see how its done and have fun,
I will add new info to post #1 page #1 with more details than you want, so check it often,

I'm in.. I may have said that six pages ago, so don't count me twice. If its predicted cooler, I'll be camping. If its HOT, I'll be hoteling.. . I'm a wimp..
I'll have a bit more trouble on your quad tracks, if I'm loaded down.

Hazman, there will be Sat night camping at the VTRA grounds. Friday night you can do as you choose. I personally would ride down to the start on early Sat morning (IF I could go this year , but I have a wedding that weekend that I MUST attend), or there is plenty of camping available down in that area near the start.

Just sayin', dont miss this ride, great route, perfect time of year. If you like the Swinging Bridges Ride, but prefer a little more offroad sections, this is it

Do we need to make reservations at the motel in Viburnum?

Yes--you better to make sure they aren't full---it's the only game in town.
I've stayed there so many times----and if I cancelled 24 hrs. in advance it was no problem.
There is a really nice in house restaurant----but I'm eatin' at Bixby Saturday afternoon.
