Help please-Blue ridge motel.

About 5 or 6 years ago a friend and I were riding the Buleridge when we got into fog that was so bad you couldn't see 2 feet in front of the bike, any way I know we were a short ways south of Boone and we found a motel right along the road, there was a little cafe across the street from it, the one thing that stands out was there were no TV's in the rooms everyone gathered around a patio area and talked, I have been trying to find this place as I,m headed out there latter this month. Anyone know this place?? thanks. bete.

There are a bunch in that area. Try this.

Get on Google maps. Zoom in on Boone. Type in Lodging and hit enter. Use street view to take a look at them.

That's all I got.

It is not south of Boone but that sounds like Bluffs Lodge at Doughton Park on the BRP. Sadly the lodge, the coffee shop and gift shop are closed and have been for the last two years.

Other Options South of Boone

There are a few good places on the parkway in Little Switzerland. Switzerland Inn and Skyline Village Inn are both on the Parkway, cater to bikes, and have bars on site (if you are into that kind of thing ). Good common areas for hanging out with friends.
