Riding Superstitions?

Perhaps odd thread.

I always have to put my right glove on first. If for some reason the left goes on first I will pull it off and then put on the right so the sequence is done in the correct order.

Keep a close look on your karma level.
It's as important as your oil dip stick/looking glass.
or more...

I imagine myself in a horrific accident.....how I would be ejected from the bike, how it would sound, how time would seem to slow down while in the air. Then I shake it off and go. I've been like that since I started riding in 1987 and so far I have not wrecked yet.

I think I may have jinxed myself now, shit.

How did such superstitions come about? Bad experience when you tried the other way or what?

I am glad I am not the only one that has thought....

But for my superstition I always put my left boot or shoe on first.

Wicked mount

I always mount from the left (kickstand) side of the bike.

Pretty much that. Our brains like patterns; so much so that they will find ones where none exist.

Sounds more OCD than superstitous, I just get on it and try and work out where the first corner is.

That's pretty much what I do - say good morning/afternoon, pat the seat or front cowl, thank it for starting, that sort of thing.

I am sure if they ask someone who is honest to them, they will find lots of weird shit they do.

I think dumbasses shouldn't be given a pass, by calling it supersition.
