Hey there

Have an 01 r1150gs also, lowered pegs 50mm (cut pegs in half and welded plate to lower footpeg - thanks MR. COB!!, great idea, better and MUCH cheaper than Touradear pegs), seat on low setting with beadrider seat cushion, very effective, bar risers and a XL Calsci screen with homemade laminar lip to 'kick' wind a bit higher over the head from America (screen needs to be wider at top) - perfect.,just can't lean over as much in corners/roundabouts - small price to pay for comfort. not unsafe just don't lean over as much now... Just bought an R100s outfit with R100rt bars and it's fine for having some fun with the kids, reasonably comfortable enough. Will make my own screen this time for the outfit, that way i get what i pay for - not false advertising in screen sizes . I'm 6'6". Like to show you some pictures but haven't got around fighting with the computer to set it up yet.

6' 3" here. Started riding airheads in '83, almost always S bikes or bikes with S bars.

Always assumed one of the reasons I rode airheads was because nothing else fit so well.

Tall guy with long feet comfort hint: I ride airheads with my heels on the passenger pegs and the balls of my feet on the main pegs. Extremely comfortable riding support. After so many years I didn't realise how comfortable it was until I started riding bikes that didn't permit a similar arrangement.

fwiw, ymmv, imho.

I'll second Lornce. I'm 6'4". I ride with my feet on both pegs sometimes as well. Occasionally, I'll ride past a plate window and see what I look like on the bike. It's pretty funny. All the same, when I get on my R90, it's like putting on a pair of old shoes and in spite of how I "look", it feels really comfy. I have "S" bars and everythign else is standard.
