Selling my 1996 DR650. Adult owned, has not been abused. Light trial riding. I have the suspension setup for a heavy rider, but still have stock springs. Bike fires up and goes each time, have not had any issues with this bike. 7210 miles total. Tires still decent. Street legal and clean title. Call Josh for my questions - 970-231-0137

Wow-that's a good price for that bike.

OK, are we debating good vs ok?

For me, I like clean and relatively unmodified.

Without question, it's a killer price on that bike. Clean, unmodified, and low miles rarely sell for less than $2500.00 in a 650cc dual sport. If I wasn't so deep into my DR350, I'd be all over that bike.

I would only want a DR650 because it can easily do highway. However, being able to tool around at 70mpg is pretty nice. And it's a whole lot lighter. AH, the dr350 vs. 650 debate.

that 650 is purdy. now it just needs another $1000 worth of farkles.

Mine has proven to be like a Harley when you consider how much money you sink into it after the purchase.

I agree. I have a 2006 DR650 and it has 25,000 miles on it and barely broken in. This is one of the most reliable, competent bikes around. The condition that one is in and at $1600 is a bargain. And IMHO the DR350 has little to offer over the 650 other than 45 lbs lighter.

Yeah, that 45lbs gets me. Is that just the motor?

That 650 would be a good one for a 790 big bore kit and a upside down fork. If its not gone I might

I rode it tonight. Quite nice and unmolested.

And you didn't bring it home?

Being new to the sport, I'm still trying to figure out the right bike. Loving the DR350 for dirt roads, 4x4 trails, and 70mpg, but being blown off the road by crosswinds up near Hartsel has me wondering about the DR650.
