And although she has never ridden before, and just applied for Social Security, she loves to go fast, the C14 obliges

1971 husqvarna 360c - $2600 (Elizabeth Co)

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/3150712076.html

1971 Husqvarna 360c. This bike has spent most of its life in a box stored away.
In 1998 it was brought out and put back together by a husqvarna specialist in NJ,
This Husky has been in my family since new, and has never been road hard or treated bad,,,
just look at the pictures they speak for themselves. This Bike will start on the first or second kick............every time!!
and runs like its new, it is still sitting in the factory tires it came with

Hmmm, seemed to have heard that story before.

'98 BMW GS ANNIVERSARY - $6000 (OLD TOWN)

Reply to: knhpv-3172165340@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

FOR ALL YOU THAT INQUIRED ABOUT THIS BIKE, THE GUY THAT COMMITTED TO BUYING IT WEEKS AGO FELL THROUGH THE CRACKS THIS AM. IT'S BACK ON THE MARKET!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1998 R1100GS 75th Anniversary Edition 32,500 miles $6,000

PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE RESPONDING. THANK YOU.

That's right, you're not seeing things. This is almost certainly the only 75th Anniversary GS in New Mexico, and almost certainly the only one you'll see with this mileage and accessories.

First, there is another '98 GS with a few more miles in Farmington for $3245. Check it out here:
http://farmington.craigslist.org/mcy/3077081957.html

So, if my price is giving you heartburn, and you want a rider and not a (almost) one-of-a-kind rider, the one in Farmington is fundamentally the same bike for a lot less...go for it, you won't be disappointed (I don't know the bike or seller, but I know "the bike" as in this year GS)

Options for the Anniversary Edition:
ABS (this might have been standard for '98 though, I'm not sure)
RID Riders Information Display (look it up if unsure)
Wire wheels
Paint scheme (don't scratch the tank - ever. There are no replacements)
Heated handgrips
...plus whatever else else I've forgotten

Stuff I've added:
Full Works suspension: $2250 installed...lifts the bike about 1", you probably need at least a 32" inseam to ride this monster.
Jesse Bags: $1000
Touratech hard parts
Givi windshield
4 Lights w/lightbars on front: $$$
Stanton engine guards: Priceless, you can't get them anymore
Sargeant front seat (pan and seat, not just cover): $400
...plus whatever else else I've forgotten

Other stuff:
Way over-maintained by dealer. Full $$$ 12K and 24K services.
New/recent Metzler Tourances front/rear
New front brakes/oil change
Extra uninstalled crash guards
Cannisterectomy (problems for Calif, but not New Mexico. I have the parts removed. Search for term on advrider.com site mentioned below)
...plus whatever else else I've forgotten

I bought this about 4 years ago when it had 7200 miles on it from a guy that never rode it in Salt Lake City. This bike is a torque monster, and nothing is funner to ride up and down Cedar Crest. It's so good on the turns that the footpegs are veritably unscrapable, and I've pretty much worn them down on my Goldwing. I would go as far as to say that this year GS is better constructed and easier to work on than the new $20K GS's.

I just don't ride it much anymore, and it doesn't deserve to sit in my driveway...it needs to be rode like hell.

I'm serious if you are, so I'm probably not going to respond to inquires for information that is readily available on the Internet, or other general buffoonery landing in my inbox.

If you're not aware of it, ADVRIDER.com is the premier source of information for dualsports, BMW's in particular. Check it out to research these bikes if you're unsure.

Cash, no trades, no rides without a pile of money, and a DL w/motorcycle endorsement - and I'll be following along on my Wing. Again, serious only please.

That's actually pretty slick and would work well for that application.
