F650GS for sale

This one's mine:

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcd/3240511860.html

It has an ADV sticker on the left saddlebag, too. It has 13,404 (mostly road) miles. New chain, new fork seals, new steering head bearings...I'd have sold it here on the RM Flea Market, but I'm working really wacky hours. All maintenance done by Bavarian Motorcycles West. Oil changes done by me...

Thanks for the prompt response.. I am ready to buy it now as a gift for my Son, I am at sea at the moment as i am a marine engineer and due to the nature of my Job.....phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want it to be a surprise for my son i won't let him know anything about it until it gets delivered to him, i am sure he will be more than happy with it. I insisted on paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it,Get back to me with your paypal email and the price so i can proceed with the payment quickly or you sign-up for a paypal personal account www.paypal.com it is very fast and easy to set up. I have a pick up agent that will come and pick it up after i have made the payments.
Thanks.

I tell people they have to email their phone number for me to call them back. Cuts out all the crap and brings the serious buyers.

900cc Ducati Enduro / GS (Gagiva) - $4500 (Boulder)

Date: 2012-08-18, 8:56AM MDT

Year 2000 Cagiva Gran Canyon for sale!
What's a Cagiva Gran Canyon?? Imagine a fuel-injected 904cc Ducati Monster, but transformed into a GS/Enduro bike!!!

Cagiva is an Italian Motorcycle company (that actually owned Ducati for a while...) But Cagiva has historically used Ducati motors in their bikes- the most famous being the Cagiva Elefants of the late '80's and early '90's - (Gigantic enduros powered by 900cc ducati motors that crushed in past Paris-Dakar races....) The Gran Canyon is the updated version the Elefant.

But about the bike in hand: It was actually built in the Ducati Monster factory in 2000, it's considered the predecessor to the Ducati Multistrata. But it's heart is the venerable Ducati 904cc twin motor. A tried-and-true air & oil cooled, reliable as hell race motor... but for 2000 Ducati added weber-marelli fuel injection, increasing the engine's power and usability...

The bike has approx 18,500 miles on it. Very reliable, obviously very quick and sounds beautiful!! And yes, the Ducati "neck-snapping" acceleration is here! (only now in enduro flavor!!)

The valves where checked this summer, and all were in spec. So they won't need to be checked again for approx 8000 more miles. (And now that they've 'set', the valves probably won't ever need to be adjusted again)
The belts are good, new fluids throughout the bike. Chain and sprockets are good. It could use some new rubber.. but I was planning on waiting for tires to go on sale this fall.... I added a Hepco Becker rack too- so it's ready for touring!

Some quick stats: as stated, it's a 904cc fuel-injected Ducati L-twin that has between 75-80hp. It's very torquey, with a 0-60 mph time in under 4 seconds. Fuel economy-wise: I get over 50 mpg on the highway (better than a prius, and it pops wheelies!)

So if you're looking for an amazingly fun bike, that's rock-solid, and isn't the same bmw GS everyone else has.... drop me a line! I've got a bike for you that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!!!

Yes I have one!

Also, your ad should state that you want a certain word included in any replies. This weeds out the bots and easily identifies many of the scumbags.

The "Magic Word" thing works great for posts when you're selling one item.

I've got a listing full of sled parts right now. The real people ask "I'm interested in the track and the rear skid". Bots ask "I'd like to look at snowmobile parts".

Yeah. Looks like an 8N to me. I'd probably be more interested in that than the bike.

I should have known it was an old Ford. I grew up in Texas and even overhauled a few. I could put rings, bearings, and do the valves in one day. I guess I was going by the paint job:
Fergie:

Or maybe not. Ford 8N:

But I guess they were all the same for a period. Every old farmer had one that he refused to give up and used them until the 1980s for sure.
