This is a great bike. I just recently got it set up the way I wanted, but I bought it for 2up touring. The last two trips we took together were a disaster. The wife has her own endorsement, so the plan is to get a couple smaller bikes.

Thanx,
Swan

1947 Cushman Civilian Airborne 2 seater - $3200 (Berthoud)

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/3364206629.html

This is a 1947 two seater Civilian Airborne Cushman stepthru.

It runs well and starts easily. The motor is the original Cushman Husky #A142026, Model 17 M71, HP4.
The body is in good shape.

Parts that are new are: clutch plate, throwout bearings, wiring, dimmer switch, output shaft oil seal,
throttle bearing, rear wheel bearings, tail light lens and ring, handle bar grips, floor mat, rear brake rod,
drive chain, primary chain, brake shoes, front suspension bushings, 1st gear, seals in tranny.
The generator was rebuilt by a professional and I rebuilt the carborator.
No work was needed on the motor.

This scooter has a clear title.

Especially considering the rider would probably take the whole "bar stool" theme to heart and ride it with a beer in one hand.

BTW, I have one of these in my shed that I bought off a University of Denver student a while back...mild rehab to the motor and you'd have the most unstable and fast fun you've had since that chick back in your college days. Would sell it for a hundred bucks and a case of beer...

I had one sitting in my dads corn crib back in Illinois. He decided to get rid of a lot of junk after it had been acumulating for 40 years. Know anyone who would be interested in the rear wheel including drum break. Some scrap guy made out like a bandit.
