As best as I recall my 2004 was the first of the rubber mounted sporty--the rubber mount is much better than the solid mount.

One of the other bikes I was looking at when I bought the R100RS was the XL1200C. I like the lines of the 4.5 gallon tank and the custom bits - very handsome bike.

Who knows....that might be the next bike after the R100RS, I might want something a little newer next time

My own ad:

http://cosprings.craigslist.org/mcy/3660999188.html

$1,500.00 OBO

I have some extra DRZ stuff. It would be an all or nothing deal as I just want the stuff out of my garage. Everything is off of two 2002 DRZ400S I found as parts bikes. The frames can't be registered here due to them originating in Europe.

Some of it's assembled and some of it's in boxes.

Two motors with wiring harness', both in frames, both need rings but turn over. One needs a clutch basket and a new right side cover. I removed the kicker kit from one and have the kicker kit for the other in pieces.
One set of brand new Suzuki OEM rings.
Two sets of triples, good bearings.
One set of forks.
Two swingarms, one E and one S. E needs bearings.
Two rear shocks, linkage, and springs.
Two S computers.
An extra set of black rattle canned plastics.
Two full exhaust systems, one S, one E.
One Mikuni w/ JD jet kit.
Two S subframes
One Clarke blue S tank
One stock steel tank rattle canned green
All sorts of stock axles, bearings, brakes, wiring, sprockets, calipers, levers, etc.
Extra rear rim with sprocket

I'll kick myself someday for not buying that Hodaka. My first bike was a '68 Ace 100.
My dad almost killed me when he came home one day and I had the top end off of the new bike to "look at the piston and rings".

Damnit, I'm having a hard time resisting this.

http://westslope.craigslist.org/mcy/3660981257.html

I am selling my 1998 ATK 350. It is the dual sport with electric start. The bike is mostly rebuilt, with new powder coated frame, seat cover, plastics, fork seals, swing-arm and steering bearings, chain, sprokets, chain rollers, brake pads, bars, battery, and cam belt. I probably have more in parts than I am asking.

I'm glad I'm not in Durango, or I'd be making room in my garage.

My best riding buddy had a more profitable paper route than I did...he had an Ace 90 when I was still chugging along on my Honda C110.

I've had a thing for the Ace 90/100 since then, they seldom come up in that kind of shape too.

Chris Beck will provide a discount to ADV riders. He even has an ADV poster in his shop. I actually rode it around the parking lot, buuuuuuupppp. Also a 14 year old kid can get a license to ride this bike, legally as it is 100 cc's. Fastbecks sold two KLR's for a whole lot less than I paid for mine and I had to fly to Virginia to get it.
