With that in mind MSRP in 2012 was around $9599. shipping, handling, and farkles mean nothing to me as far as price goes (it probably does to the owner however. ) As you say KBB has $6335 and NADA has average retail at $7535 so he is not really too far off on price. Offer him $7K and expect to pay $8K if it is THE one you want.

So now my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

DOH, Hell beat me to the punch. I did not see the Wolfman sticker on the front. That makes it worth $12K.

Marc
I willing to pay for a bike that I can pick up after I bounce my noggin off the rocks and won't cause me to bust more discs picking up.

That wouldn't be *the* Eric of Wolfman, would it?
I should get a big discount since I'm a loyal Wolfman customer then!

Yup. Sticker is good for at least 7.23 hp.

$3300 seems a bit easier for me to handle. You guys know this 2005 KTM 525?

I should've bought AKASY's plated 380 when I had the chance....but I got gunshy after buying the '98 380 and it had cracked cases at the kickstart idler gear bearing.

The '01 and '02 are relatively immune from that issue.

You know what others are immune from that issue?

Any late model 300.

Please, for the love of all that is orange, quit messing around with these clunky old bikes with crappy suspension and get something from this decade.

you haven't seen the stack of shekels set aside for the bike batting cleanup, have you?

not huge, not "late model 300" big anyway.

I figure a PDS bike with a juice clutch as least gets me in the modern, post purple era

2001 VOR 400 E - $1500 (firestone)

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/4011782007.html

(VOR = Vertemati Offroad Racing)

2001 VOR 400E.
Frame up restoration. Great for collection, ride or part out on ebay. Has shop manual and DVD shop manual. Parts are available for it through different sources. Lots of new parts including:

• Twin Air Filter
• Front and rear sprockets
• New chain
• New chain rollers
• Front fender
• Headlight
• Handlebars
• Grips
• Foot pegs
• Seal saver fork covers
• Wiring harness
• Seat cover
• Fork guards
• Extra set of new front and rear sprockets
• Extra set of new clutch and brake levers

This bike has a title and could be made street legal if desired.

Front tire is almost new and rear is about 90%. Every nut and bolt was hand polished during reassembly. Restoration is well documented with photographs. Very nice bike. I am moving and cannot take it with me. Own a piece of motorcycle history

I'll give you back the clutch pack, 3 stock tanks and some assorted pieces---you could start from there

Decent bike, I rode it this week. Runs strong. A very good overall, complete, example of a 30 year old XT 550. Would mmake a great project, just not in the cards for me right now.

NOT MINE!!

1983 Yamaha XT 550 Motorcycle with 5089 miles. This bike is in good condition and starts first or second kick. The carburetor was just overhauled and the bike runs great. The tach and speedo work, the seat is in very good condition, and comes with a pack for tools on the back. Tires still have tread left on them. This bike has plenty of power and can be street legal very easily. All this bike needs is a battery and you will be ready for the street or trails. I have the title and a service manual for this bike. I am asking $1100 OBO (CASH NO EXCEPTIONS)
