No it isn't. If he can be patient I will bet he gets it. Evidently you don't know Lomax or Blake... :)

Did you miss where it said "R65" ??? Huh. To me at least, the R65 model is not worth losing skin and blood over. That is the one airhead model that I have no interest in at any price. Unless the price is low enough I could flip it, which this one is not.

The R65 body work is and the frame is The engine is not as bad but not for me. Now the R50 or R60 on the other hand.

So there.

Not sure how Blake feels.

In the late 80's I bought my g/f an '81 GL500 Silver Wing after she completed the MSF course. Too heavy, wasn't a great first bike. She sold it (at a profit over what I paid ) and Ozzie told us he had an R65 he'd just gone through.
I'd bought my K100RS from Ozzie, he was an awesome dealer...we got the '84 R65 for a great price with 50k on it.

She rode that for years, we did two week trips up into Canada and halfway across the country, it never missed a beat.
I used to ride it to work a lot and it was a pretty fun bike - but it's sort of like having a Sportster vs. a Big Twin...it didn't share much in common with the big airheads. I liked it a bunch though.

He's had this for sale for a looooooooooooooooong time. I've seen it cruising around town but never up close. I think he had it at 4500 for a while, so he must be patient.

Come on Blake, if a ten time world champion tuned it 30 years ago, it must be worth that and more. I mean come on, it just can't be improved on. Buy it now before he gets permission to reveal the name and the price doubles.

My guess would be it was one of Chuck Lee's old bikes, seeing that it is a Ridgway post. He has won Pikes Peak Hillclimb lots of times. That being said, I don't see more than $2-300 value for that bike total

Norton Porn

Not CL but eBay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251412951618

**COLORADO NORTON WORKS #001 1973 COMMANDO 850**

**OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY CNW #001 1973 COMMANDO 850**

This is the collector Norton to Have. Classic Bike Magazine said of Colorado Norton Works “…the premier restorer of Norton Commandos in the world.” This is Colorado Norton Works #001

I have owned this bike for over 20 years and was Colorado Norton Works first customer. This bike was completely rebuilt at CNW and had its clock zeroed – mileage of 6161 is correct as of rebuild. The tw828 on the side covers indicate that what was done is “The Works” and 828 has a nicer ring than the 829 actual displacement of a Norton 850. She is in fine working order. I am pursuing vintage auto racing so I don’t get to ride so much anymore and that is why I am selling.

The color scheme is unique to this bike as are all Colorado Norton Works bikes, check out what they do at: http://coloradonortonworks.com/

Check all the picture and judge for yourself, and do check CNW – an amazing product and I have enjoyed this one immensely. You can write me here or call text me, Frank at 303-905-3817 – I’m on Mountain Standard Time USA and appreciate your consideration to call between 9 AM and 9 PM thank you.

Terms: $500 deposit via pay pal within 48 Hours of successful bid/buy now. Balance to be paid within 7 days via cashier check, wire transfer or cash. If you wish to pay the balance via PayPal I will do that only if you agree to pay the PayPal fees associated with the payment in addition to the balance.

Pick up only, buyer responsible for any and all shipping – yes I will cooperate with getting it done. Pick up within 14 days of payment please. There is no warranty with this machine, sale is final, thank you.

Thank you for looking.
