I had a '94 440 EXC....he speaks the truth

It's the baby brother to the CR/KX killing KTM 550, but it's not the torque monster big bruddah is.

It has a smaller bore, using the 500MX piston, but the stroke is shorter than the 300. It's either idling, bogging, or on the pipe

Mine was plated - riding it on the street, the front wheel was always 8" off the ground. The guy that bought it from me motarded it - the perfect application for that pre-powervalve motor.

It makes something like 60-62 hp, it is a beast.

Typical CL statement, translated means: "My bike's badass and if you think you are, you need to buy this bike!"

Most dirtbikes over 200cc aren't beginner bikes, a wise rider respects all motorcycles if they value their health. Stupid Hurts

If I didn't already have a new RD in the garage I'd be all over that. Someone should snatch it up. I'll bet that thing would be all kinds of fun around town.

If it looks like that it is an unreal deal.

It could look exactly like that and still have a rusted out tank and a seized motor.

Just sayin'.

A bike like that makes me want to free up some space in my living room.

WOW, but always makes you wonder. If it is in such good shape and "you can double your money" why is he asking so little. I wonder what evils lurk beneath the surface.

Of course it could be the find of the year

Even with a seized motor it would still be a great deal to someone who wasn't afraid of wrenches.

Rust? I hate rust.

I had that exact same bike when I was in high school! Way fun bike! I played basketball in high school and one of the other gals on the team wanted me to take her for a ride. I did, but I couldn't resist popping a wheelie in the school parking lot. Yup, she fell off! That plus a couple other moves in my '72 Mustang Grande earned me the title "Fastest Driver" in the high school year book! Not bad for a southern gal going to Catholic school in South Carolina!
