Blast from the past

Wow. Here's the XR600 I sold 8 years ago.

IMO, the price is high. If interested, I can give you some pointers on possible points you can use to negotiate the price down.

My first XR600 was an '88. Good times with that bike living in the desert.

With your coaching, how far down should the price go?

There are a few KDX's up on the Denver Craigslist. Cheap transportation in the wood, bulletproof motor, parts everywhere....and the last of the great two strokes.

A properly set up KDX, will take you anywhere....

They're great little woods bikes....but the term bulletproof really applies after the oem piston has been replaced by a Wiseco.
Best bang for the buck trailbike made.

It looks like his one and only ride was straight into a MUD hole.

HMM If this is the going market I will put my XR600R up for sale for only $9,000.

Good find.

Marc

I wonder if he'd take my '06 450 EXC in trade...
Maybe if I threw in an extra couple a thousand?

I'd really like to go back to a heavy, low horsepower kick-start bike with a so-so suspension...
But hey, it's a collectors piece! Only a few hundred thousand made!

Only if you are talking about the 220. The 200 piston is fine.

I've been talking to the guy. I got him down to a price of $9800. I think he's about to cave in. At that price, I'm not sure he'll toss in the "waist guard".
