I was in a client's garage today and saw this cute little bike:

Check this out:

Only 76 miles on it! How cool is that?
So what do you guys know about Rupp?

Didn't remember that Rupp made a 100. I only remember their minibikes, snowmobiles and a goofy 3 or 4 wheeled thingy.

Someone here will have the 411 though.

(almost looks like a rebadged Indian from the day)

Cool bike little bike.

It looks like a Hodaka motor. I can't remember right now who made the motors.........It could be a Fuji..

Here is one of the MX versions. It had a Sachs motor, kinda like Penton, DKW, Monark, and God knows what else.

Never seen the 100 either.

I did have the 4 hp Rupp Roadster II as a kid.

Many wee adventures on that!

Thanks Dad

Heaven knows you tried.

I had that exact bike in red. It was my first bike ever at age 12. I paid $10 for it and dragged it 2 blocks home in boxes.

Everyone scoffed at me for buying it.

3 weeks later, my 12 year old brain had it running, and everyone that picked on me wanted a ride. Nope.

I rode it for two years, then sold it to a kid down the street for everything I had in it...50 bucks. Awesome memories, there! ...and it started a lifelong desire of fixing up other people's junk.

Rupp!

There were many mini and small enduros made back then and almost all of them had the Hodaka ACE 100 motor or the Super Rat motor in them, even the minis. I think that RUPP is a Hodaka ACE 100 motor. Whichis a VERY reliable motor and is easy to get parts for.

Love it! Wish I could see those kids' faces as you rode by and they were sitting on their Schwinns!
