Pissed tar snake warning!!!

For those of you in the east Tennessee, west North Carolina region, there is an especially bad case of repair tar at the intersection of US64 eastbound turning onto NC294 eastbound headed toward the Hiwassee dam. I came through there this afternoon and found the intersection to be very heavily repaired since the last time I was there. There is almost no pavement exposed and even carefully riding across it really gets you sliding. Bad thing is that you have to be leaned over making that corner and it puts you right into the tar leaned over. If you do fall, you will slide right into incoming traffic!!
Sent a note to the NCDOT advising them of the situation.

Just recieved a reply!

Received a reply from the road supervisor in Cherokee County North Carolina regarding the tar snake "slippery" situation. I inquired after their first reply why they did not use any abrasive material instead of just letting the tar skin over, and was informed that they will begin using sand "as necessary in certain situations"
