as for the azbdr,,, it looks like a great route for visitors, as its intended, as a local i am less excited about it. maybe its because ive ridden almost all of it more than a couple times, maybe i think its too much pavement. maybe i think the riding is too easy even though the scenery is great, i dunno.

i would have chosen a few different areas, roads and sections, but again, thats me and i dont ride a loaded touring bike so i'm in a slightly different mind set on what i want in a ride.

having said that, it is a great route, and it showcases the diversity this state offers pretty well.

for that my hat is off to all of you that made it happen.
I think this is what we would all, a "complisult".

I am really excited for the AZBDR. I want to ride this route first and then in a few years do the CDT. I will be at GoAZ on the 8th to watch the screening.

Sounds like a great way to spend a summer

indeed. our long term goal is to have all these BDR and people connect them how they want.

one idea is ride up the AZBDR then up the UTBDR then over to the COBDR and down it to the 4 corners and then down the New Mexico part of the CDR.
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=763745

since we ride the IDBDR this summer, 2015 would be AZBDR > UTBDR > IDBDR > down CDR back to border. Epic!

OR the GWT south back to AZ:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=39
...and then back up the CDR after that

S. Border > AZBDR > UTBDR >IDBDR > N. Border > GWT > S. Border > CDR > N. Border
that would have to be one the best USA ADV rides of all time and maybe more epic than the TAT.

oh yeah, the dirt routes along all those rivers & canyons are epic.

i've ridden alot of ID and I did the dirt road layer on our ID state map, so i'm very familiar with the possibilities. that is gonna be another amazing BDR and then having a Mexico - Canada BDR route possibility is over the top for us.
