Spopt gen 1 vs. DeLorme inReach

I recently purchased a deLorme PN 60w and it came with the inReach thingamabob. I also have a Spot Gen 1. I'm thinking about cancelling the Spot, and just using the inReach.

Thoughts?

Good idea, the InReach has better coverage due to it's satellite network.

Look closely at the plans.Depending on your needs, the recreation plan that allows tracking can be used for the certain number of months out of the year that you might ride long distance and will be equivalent price wise to a SPOT plan with tracking.

I just got an InReach for smartphones at an REI garage sale for cheap and will get the recreation plan and allow it to run for my 4-5 month riding season.
Good timing too,as my SPOT yearly renewal was just coming up,I cancelled it.
