Smokin deal on Geigerrig hydration pack and camp pads at Costco

Just swung into Costco today at Park Meadows and found a couple good deals for fellow ADV'ers, no affiliation with Costco or either company just thought I would pass along.

Geigerrig Rig 1200 3L hydration pack- $59.99!! REI shows $145 on their website.

Lightspeed self inflating mattress- $34.99! Pretty cheap mattress, looks to be decent quality. Not especially small or light but if it is comfy I will find a way to strap it on the bike. I will report back once I try it out at home and see if it is any good.

I bought the back pack there about a year back or so for the same or similar price and love it. I like the pressurized aspect as I can rinse off parts/wheels as needed or just squirt friends

I lost the top plastic piece that closes mine...should swing by and pick up another bladder for cheap.

I found mine worked ok but the pressurizing seemed a little tedious.

Instead of supporting mega-corporations, why not invest your money into moto companies?

http://www.offroadchampions.com/ sells the USWE hydration pack. This thing rocks! The fit on the pack is the best I have seen. Once you put it on, clip the shoulder straps together in a unique system that centers in the middle of your sternum. The straps are easily adjustable with velcro. When you are bouncing around on our rough Colorado trails, the pack stays in place.

One good deal with COSTCO is return at any time no questions asked policy. Kinda like REI (Return Everything Indefinitely).

Those hydration packs are sweet. They had a display at the ABQ costco, and a not particularly small sales lady stood on one to demonstrate its strength. I was impressed.

Wow, Geigerrig is a mega corporation? I am sure that is news to them.

Mega-corporations have employees too.

Tested out the sleeping pad for a bit at home, it isn't the lightest or smallest or most comfortable, but not bad in any respect.

The way my luck tends to go with camping gear the price is right, about the time I invest in a high-end one I will put a hole in it. For $35 I won't feel bad when it meets its fate.

The sleeping pad is really comfortable. I slept on one in Moab for 3 nights.
It does take a bit of work to get it deflated.

I just want to give a shout out to Costco. They are one of the top retailers for EMPLOYEE satisfaction. Paying their staff a fair wage and giving them bennies along the way. It's a company WORTH supporting.

p.s. I cut up my Sam's club card when Costco rolled into town years ago.

Costco sure is a mega corporation. This thread is about buying the pack at Costco.

You have BRC and COHVCO listed in your signature. But yet, the idea of supporting a moto specific company causes you to become argumentative. It seems ironic that you missed my point.

Maybe you outta check out the USWE hydration pack as I mentioned?

You might want to look into Costco. They are a solid company taking care of their employees. I definately give them my buisness. I agree with Scott.

Wolfman Escape Hydration pack. Made in Longmont, CO.

I hope Wolfman isn't considered a Mega Corporation nowadays.

I'm sure 602 will let us know.
