I can't comment other than my helmet shipped from Italy yesterday and arrived in TN last night and was delivered to my house today. Unfortunately it doesn't fit so I have to send it back. I'll see how fast they handle that.

I bought a Givi top box, universal mount & backrest on a Wednesday. Fedex got the shipping details on a Thursday & it was in the Air on it's way to Australia by Friday, arriving at the local facility on Monday morning.

The good folk at FedEx then kept the package until Friday afternoon as it was "not due for delivery", before it arrived. Motostorm was really quick & easy to deal with. FedEx on the other hand I have a new found disdain for.

The box is now happily bolted to the back of my cap 1200 (with a custom aluminium plate to address the universal plate not being quite universal enough).

I ordered some Gaernes from them in July. Excellent communication via email and I had the boots in my hands in less than two weeks. Not bad at all considering they came from Italy. In addition to good prices, Motostorm has some colors that the US distributors don't seem to carry. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again, and may do so in the near future.

Update

Well I ordered a pair of boots 12/28 and heard nothing.

Emailed them and was told they had to order the boots from Forma. This place may be similar to a drop shipper as they appeared to be in stock when I ordered.

That not-in-stock thing gives me pause. I ordered a pile of stuff from Caripimoto and ran into the same thing. It all showed up, but took way longer than I"d hoped for. Keep us posted.

I just received a pair of Forma Adventure boots from motostorm. I ordered them on the 11th and got them today. Very fast shipping, and price was $60 better than anyone else. Very good experience.

Forma Adventure Boots arrived 16Jan

They arrived but it did take longer as "they" had to order them from Forma.

I guess all in all its something you live with when ordering from an over seas retailer. The price was really good, $246 including shipping.

The communication could have been better, I will wait for things without much hassle as long as retailers send an email saying there is a delay and whats being done. I emailed them again for an update and they said the boots would ship the next day. Once it shipped it took like 4 days. But would I order again from them....no, just because I had to keep after them on communication on order status.

The Forma Adventure Boots I already like much more than the Balanced Oiled boots from Gaerne

So, has *anyone* in the US had to pay any additional custom fees? I see several people have said they bought from them, but only 1 verifying there were no additional fees.

??

Duties on offshore purchases seems to vary by the amount of the purchase and the carrier. I bought a boatload of farkles from carpimoto, and got a bill from FedEx. I bought a jacket from somewhere else, and did not get a bill from DHL. YMMV.
