I hate to rub it in, but I probably had the best weather anybody that dares to come to Alaska this year will have. Yesterday was almost too hot to be riding, the sun was hot and the beer went down fast! lol. Everybody is telling me that 2 weeks ago they were still plowing snow off the roads, but starting last week the temperature has been 70+F. Ever Since I got to Yukon it has been incredible. Today it was cold again driving into Anchorage (nothing close to wawa cold lol) but still probably only 12-15 degC. I don't anticipate I will be getting much more wicked weather, so I better get out of here while I can!!!!

Thanks for NOT rubbing it in Glad your trip is going good...oh yeah by the way, it's plus 3c and rainy here

You'll probably get to see Denali also...since it was clouded in when I was there! Don't forget to take a photo of the Stampede trail in Healy! Happy riding!

Ha the Eagle campground is pretty unique. Did they give you one of their stickers? Camped there and used the sauna last year. Lots of bikers after D2D.

Good to see you are getting good weather. Enjoy

Nice and good riding report..

Just FYI, you could buy a single shirt to use for the whole trip. There are few companies selling a shirt that you could wash with just a small coin size of shampoo and then wring it and lay flat to dry. It will dry in 30 minutes or so and ready to go next day. In case you didn't know it? Also some company use real merino fabric in the garment making it anti-foul odor.

Now I see why you don't want to come home!
Hmmmm... maybe we should consider a retirement home up there. It is beautiful.

At least we know you would come visit!

Looks like a great trip, Jeff. Hat's off to you for making it - and of course for reporting on the good beer to be had (an important part of any ride report!) Enjoy the rest, and as I said wayyyyy back in Saskatoon I am living vicariously through your adventure!

I knew the good luck had to end soon, Mother Nature never does let you get too comfortable. Another day of paradise in Alaska land!!!

Looking at a long wet day today; 330 miles from Cantwell to Tok to stay at the eagle claw campground again before heading over the top of the world to Yukon. Better get rolling!!
