I went for a 135 mile ride around Clare, Missaukee, Roscommon, and Gladwin counties with my dad yesterday. He was on his GT380 and I took my fz6. It was a nice day.

Nice looking, but smelly bike. ;)

Camping near Holland

Looking for some insight.

I have a ball tournament just outside of Holland, MI the first weekend in August. The state park near there is booked already and Google didn't seem to know of any other private parks nearby that weren't trailer parks. Wondering if anyone has some good advice on where a good park may be, or any suggested areas for stealth camping.

I would be nice to have a shower between game days, but Lake Michigan is close enough that I can be sure to make a trip in the morning or evening.

Was that just a Saturday thing, or is it going on Sunday also? I had to do a bunch of crap around the house like mowing the lawn instead. Great weather for a ride. I'm pondering a detour to the Gladwin area in the mornng on the way home from work to grab/move the tag if nobody beats me to it. Is there anywhere good for breakfast up there early-ish (830 or so by the time I hit town and grab the tag) on a weekend?

I think that it was just today. The Pepper Mill is a pretty good breakfast in Gladwin. Shoot me a text, I can probably meet up and have a coffee with ya.

Hey Scott, are you mostly available on weekends or are you available during the week at all?

Anybody have any projects they've been working on. I swear, I enjoy playing in the garage with them as much as I do riding them.

In April I started out with this:

600$

I put about another 600 into it
and ended up with this by June as a runner, I called it the Viragoster:

I sold that bike and picked up another one:

I fixed a leaky rocker box gasket, did some major cleaning, polishing, etc. and swapped some parts, here's where I'm at now:

I'm calling this one the 883R/C. It started life as an 883C but someone swapped out the exhaust, springs, and controls with an 883R making it way "awesomer". ;)

It was good meeting you, Mike. Hopefully we'll be able to do that again sometime, or perhaps try a ride somewhere. Maybe round up the other "local" inmates and go crash the thumb meet n greet.

Just figured I'd give this a bump back to the top. I haven't done anything noteworthy since last post though.

When I arrive in my driveway tonight, the KLR will be over 16,000 miles. That puts me around 4400 miles ridden so far this year.

How are the annual mileage totals looking for the rest of y'all? I'm sure someone has to have me beat.
