I also use the Skene module, but with a pair of 800 lumen LED projectors that use Cree diodes. They are VERY noticeable, even in the daytime. They don't really flicker, they just seem to. To me, it's more like a "sparkle". What they really do is strobe at a frequency almost high enough to appear always on because of the persistence of human vision. This is the same effect that makes movies appear to move when they are actually a series of still photos.
