New 2012 KTM 990 Adventure

Looking at 2012 990 leftover. How much off should I be expecting?
I am in Utah, so I have a very limited number of dealers around.

Were I a KTM dealer, I wouldn't be cutting any deals.

People want the bike. It will sell, just a matter of time.

i got $2,000 discount that i believe was KTM's incentive not dealer. searched three other dealers and all offered same discount. so, i would expect same amount.

Remember, an '11 (the best bike ever made in the entire world) is identical, so if you can find one of those....maybe...

I've been watching very close around the Midwest.

New 2012 demo model with 2k miles just went for $10k.
New 2010 leftover is listed at $10,999
New 2011 leftover is listed at $11,999
New 2012 leftover is listed at $12,999

On Cycletrader right now is a new 2012 for $11,800, $12,400, and $13,200, then a bunch around $13,500.

All prices are plus tax, and they'll probably try to squeeze in fees of some sort.

Don't be afraid to search the country and do a buy and ride! You'll get the bike at the price you want, especially if you are paying cash and not financing the deal.

Just bought a left over '12. Dealer quoted me at 2k off the price of the '13 Baja, ended up walking out the door about 3.5k under the '13 OTD price.

Don't they give better deals if you finance due to kickbacks?

so what did you actually pay?

im looking at a 2012 990 in montana and bringing it into canada. dealer said $13500 initially over the phone, but reading this it seems i could get it quite a lot lower.

I honestly couldn't answer that question. I know I paid cash for mine and think I got a good deal on it considering what another dealership wanted. I got if for less than the other dealerships offer on their demo bike which already had about 3k miles. I guess I'm curious who is giving the kickbacks, financial company? In house financing I can see as they are due some serious interest and other charges they want to tack on.

I was prepared for a fly and ride and mentioned this to the dealer I went with, glad I did go with the dealer I bought it from! I'm going off information from a friend who was a car salesman. He mentioned giving better deals from someone who walked in with cash instead of having it financed. Not sure the difference between a car and motorcycle dealership and their profit margin. Someone else with more knowledge will hopefully chime in. But don't be afraid of the fly and ride option. I would have done it and may in the future if it works to my favor.
