He was too busy to qualify and I was stuck at work today and couldn't go watch him race.

If that ride at Southwick in 2011 is anything to go by, he'd have everyone covered.

Vale had a bad tire in FP3.

It seems as though lots went out on very used tires in FP4, conserving their allotment.

Vale also said he upsets his bike too much when using a brand new soft tire for qualifying which is why he is struggling to qualify better.

He also says his race pace is good, but that JLo, Pedrosa, and Marquez have a better race pace. No mention of Cal.

Once again, Yamaha engineers and race boss spending considerable time in Cal's pit box.

Hayden put his poor qualifying effort down to being unable to get heat into his soft tire.

Air temps were barely 60 degrees F for qualifying.

Crutchlow has broken his leg

Well, a "small fracture", whatever that means. He is certainly beating himself up.

From crash.net:

I'm also feeling very sore after the crash and the medical staff diagnosed that I've got a small fracture of the right shin but that will not prevent me from giving 100% in tomorrow's all-important home race for my Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team!

Dovi seemed to have a pair of hot tires. Maybe because he was riding the hell out of his bike.

"I've got a small fracture of the right shin but ...." .. what the hell I'll ride anyway.

Cal is one tough nut, he just needs to learn/play the politics better.

Next season prediction (well more of a guess/speculation):

Rossi retires to become Yamaha world ambassador.
Pol Espargaro gets two year deal at Tech3 with full factory backing.
Cal gets a one year deal on the second factory bike next to Lorenzo.

Only a couple of hours to moto3....
cheers

Moto2 red-flagged because of rain 4 laps in advance. Marc VDS team takes double victory with Redding 1st, Kallio 2nd!

Espargaro, Rabat and Takagami all crashed!

Redding now with a 24 point lead, and a consistent finisher. Pol in 5th. Gonna be hard to catch.

I can't see Marc Marquez finishing on the podium today. For me, he is far too aggressive with the front end for wet weather racing. He will be doing well to get any points at all.

1. Lorenzo
2. Rossi
3. Crutchlow
