Hmmm just looked at my low beam, looks like it is warping a bit on the shroud... I don't have any fancy lights in there either....

Best advice I have is to install a cheap H7 style HID conversion bulb, and associated ballast into the LOW beam housing.
Less heat, and plenty of light if you can find a 4300K color temperature.
.
If they sell you some blue or green tinted JUNK , send them right back for refund.

I started to look into it and bought a HID kit. It's now up and running on my melted headlight... I will wait a bit but If no changes appears, I will try to fix my headlight (by removing the glass and repairing the melted plastic). If the repair fails, I will buy a new headlight and do a HID conversion having the experienced of the first installed...

Headlight melted

I take a look at the headlight unit this morning and saw that the upper vent has smaller opening as compare to the lower vent where the hot air dispense out . I was thinking can we trim of the upper vent so as to let more heat to dispense out from the headlight unit. Wouldn't that be better so as to let more heat dispense n keep the headlight cooler?

I wonder what some of you guys are experiencing, I just looked and at over 50k miles my reflector doesn't show any signs of burning at all. I have had a hid bulb in it for the last 20k or so but still, why are yours burnt and mine not?

Maybe u would like to take a picture of Yur headlight and share with us. Ours might be a defect product. However the issue is that it should be a warranty part.

I tried to take pix but they really didn't show anything. My reflector looks just like it always has, no blackening at all. And mine is definitely out of warranty, an '09, so maybe they made them a little cheaper after that ???

Headlight got replaced.

I also realised my headlight was melted after 2 years of riding. Informed my distributor about it even though my warranty was over. They replaced a new headlight for me, and it's only a one time change.
