D2d update

D2D is 34 days away.

I thought I should start thowing out some teasers to keep everyone excited and maybe get some of the fence sitters to sign up.

1) Don't forget your passport. You need it to get into and out of Canada.

2) Last report says no gas at Boundry.

3) The 21st year tee-shirt design is awsome.

4) D2D purchases must be in cash. Canadian or US. ATM and Bank are
across the street from the Downtown Hotel. They both spit out Canadian
paper.

5) Poker Run is at noon Friday the 21st. Registration starts at 10:00am
with riders leaving on their own any time after noon.
Entry fee is $10.00 cash American or Canadian. 50% payout to the
winning poker hand. (high card breaks ties) Winning hand will be
decided at the banquet. One entry per person, but a rider may carry
a second card for a non rider. Bring your GPS, a 6th BONUS card will
be given by finding the hidden checkpoint.

6) The Biker Banquet is at 6:30PM ON FRIDAY. No host bar opens at 6:00pm
Volunteers to move tables and chairs needed about 5:oopm
Banquet is in the Hockey Arena. (yes the ice will be out) This venue is
large enough to hold us so no need to push and shove to buy tickets. But,
get them early on Friday so we can give a good count to the cooks. The
cooks by the way are the local fireman and D2D helps support their
program.

7) Biker games start about 9:30pm with registration beginning at 9:00pm
Games are limited to 40 participants. Solo events include a slow race,
blindfold race, a slalom, and a ball drop. Two-up events are the
balloon toss and the hot dog bite. Pillion for the two up events should
be female. (nobody wants to see a guy ride bitch eating a hot dog) Ok
if the rider is female and the pillion is male we may let you slide, but
your still gonna take a ration of chit.

8) Your days not over until you bring your bike to 2nd and Queen for the
annual group photo. That will be right after the biker games.

9) Still awake at midnight? Good, because D2D is'nt complete until you
have a Dust to Dawson sticker afixed to the front fender of your scoot.
YES you must be present to receive the sticker. YES it's free. (Thank
Alynn Wilson, Dapman here at ADV, of warning lights of Alaska. For
the sticker not making you stay up until midnight-Fighter did that)

10) Questions ? JUST ASK

Hey, you sure I beat Hacky? I don't think so. I remember being so excited that it was between he and I that I kinda just threw it away when I went off course. I sure wish I'd beat him cause then I'd be able to say sumthin like "yeah, Chad did really well in the Rawhide Challenge and then the BMW Competition in SA where he represented the USA but.... I beat him.

TOO funny!

Thanks for posting that, Scott. I hadn't seen it before.

Maybe Hacky dabbed or did something else we didn't see but I kinda doubt it.

More exciting D2D news

I have seen the art work for the 2013 D2D t-shirts and your gonna want at least one. Hay at $20.00 cash American or Canadian you can't go wrong.

You may want to buy one at least one size larger than usual because after you finish a $30.00 Biker Banquet steak dinner your gonna need the extra room.

Both shirts and banquet tickets will be on sale Friday beginning at 10:00 am in the downtown hotel conference room. Ok maybe we get some help to sell things on Thursday evening for those of you arriving in the afternoon.

Don't forget about the Poker Run on Friday. Registration starts at 10:00 am in the Downtown hotel conference room. $10.00 Cash American or Canadian gets you in the game. Bikes can leave town anytimg after Noon on Friday. 50% of the pot goes to the winning hand at the Banquet.

A question for you 'Slow Racers'....
Does anybody ever just Full Stop, and wait for the others to run to the finish line ?
