Well it's less than a month to go before we head out. I know it's just another Newfoundland and TLH trip, that has been reported to death on the ride reports. But for Pete and I, and everyone else eho has posted a TLH ride report, it's a trip of a life time. Plus in a couple of years you'll be able to drive through the heart of Labrador on pavement on a shiny Road Glide and not get it dirty.

Also to my knowledge no one has ever filmed a trip through the TLH. Next week Pete and I are meeting with Hemmings House Pictures for our one day videography class. Greg is going to give us the dos and don'ts of filming.

Pete and I leave on the 25th of August, and will spend a 3-4 days on the west coast of da Rock, and then we are going to hook up with Dwight ( aka Kedgi of Lobsters to Llamas fame) and his buddy Tom before we take on the TLH. Kedgi did the TLH twice last summer, and Tom is a very capable guy at riding and wrenching, so you can't pass up having company like that. Plus they are cool guys to have around.

Tom and I on a recent ride together.

I too would have watched this! Looking forward to your webisodes.

Have a great ride to Labrador - I just got back from a trek there a few weeks back. Our trip turned into a crazy adventure with delays and roadblocks due to the forest fires.

Thanks fellas,

Well two weeks to go before departure. Last week my dad called with some news that really drove home the dangers of the TLH. My cousin was almost killed when his transport truck collided with a grader on the wrong side of the road in dusty conditions. He's still in hospital and may lose his right foot.

Here's a video of a waterbomber putting out the fire that consumed the cab of his truck.

I saw this earlier. Amazing piece of video.

Best of luck to your cousin.

Yes, be careful out there. I did this run 2 years ago and never experienced the grader on the wrong side of the road.
This trip, I saw 2 out of 4 on the wrong side. Not sure why it makes any difference as it is a concern either way.

Awesome man, we really appreciate that. Always great to meet some new folks.
Been a longtime since I've been to Goose. Last time I lived there was in a crew house on the base in the winter of 1995 flying for Lab Air. Many drunken nights at the Sand Bar.

Looks good! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

I really, really hope you guys are shopping this to other networks. Your production value is excellent and the subject matter has merit. OLN can eat a bowl of dicks - this NEEDS to be on some channel!

We are underway, currently an hour out of Port aux Basques on the ferry. Got upgraded to a suite with a window view over the bow, and will be on the ship's bridge for docking. How cool is that.

Good ride yesterday, stopped at Kedgi's in Shediac for lunch. Dwight qnd Angele put on a some burgers for us, super big thank you and good to see you all again.

Pretty much boring slab ride all the way to North Sydney.

Newfoundland awaits.

Don't be afraid to get off the Trans-Lab while you're here. There's some great exploring to do, especially around Churchill.
