Hoots: why bother?
Because...
Its fun,
Its riding,
Sometimes after a hard slog along some sticky mud you wouldnt mind a bit of tarmac to open your casey stoner side up.. (opposed to your travis prastrana side :P ) (and of course this goes for vice versa)

But there's a lot more to any ADV bike than doing wheelies - and a lot of people are looking at the 1190 closely to try and decide for themselves if they think that it's got what it takes - watching some dude travel down a straight bit of tar at 140kph doesn't fill in the gaps ...

Really, why bother?

My $0.02
that video was a small part of a program on TV here in SA - I would by no means call THAT wheelie TRIVIAL

barkbusters

Hi Guys,

Ive been following in BurrenRider's footsteps in terms of upgrades.. I was going to go for the barkbuster VPS but they were about $270 to 300..

I ended up ordering the Barkbuster EGO's in KTM orange which i think look darn cool

One thing with these, you need a spacer and longer bolts..

So a quick trip to bunnings and get 24mm hex spacers and M8 45-50mm bolts

Then your done...

I hope this helps..

Cheers,
SR..

Absolutely.

And to those posting pics of lifting the front off road I'll ask again, wtf has wheeling at 200kph into oncoming traffic got to do with Adventure biking,

In the UK you're looking at 3 months minimum inside if you get caught, that's why I no longer ride a 150 hp R1, couldn't stop doing exactly that, and worse.

Frog, ur missing the point..

When you ride enduro, u mono over logs.. When u ride on the street, if u can u wheelie for fun...

But when you ride something that can handle dirt like a enduro bike and also waste sports bikes... That is part of the adventure.. ;)

U sound like a BMW rider mate ;) I used to wonder why everyone said the BMW 800 was awesome other than a flat torque curve it was very boring..

When u have 150 ponies at ur disposal, I can tell you, that you never come up short when u throw in some throttle.. ;)

It's fun, trust me on this.. Go ride a s1000rr then ride a f800.. And u will wonder why u would contemplate buying a f800 (that's what I did) so I bought the KTM ;)
