James from Superplush is also very interested in this because he is aware many riders are going to want more suspension travel on these new bikes.
you could also contact Toors on this forum - he has had some suspension mods done on his bike here in South Africa

Nothing I can do now, just wait till i get the price of everything and hope I'm not going to need another bank loan to fix it.

I have taken the opportunity to order better 'doubletake mirrors' and barkbusters though.. I also stopped past bunnings and bought 340kg rated tie down points for the trailer instead of the cheap 'chinese made by a 5yo boy' ones that were on the trailer.
Sue the trailer company!

A couple of people said that, but generally I've found if your going to take a company through court it needs to be a sizeable amount of cash.. Like $5k or more otherwise by the time u go through the process and most lawyers wont do no win no fee for that type of hearing.. It will work out about the same as paying for it yourself.. (If u loose)

Surprisingly it wasn't that hard.. The handle on the back as well as the handlebars make it easy to lift up (using ur legs) ;)

Have a look at the slider on top of the swing arm. The chain slides through that and rubs the oil off. There is also a notch in that slider to tell you when it is worn out and needs replacing.

Rubbing on the chain slide attached to the swing arm as it goes around

Does that screen remove the buffeting and helmet noise completely? Is that your own mod or is it a purchasable item?

That is my own mod. I tried every purchasable item from ktm, from touring wind shield, standard WS, low (R), low (R) -4cm cut off, and now low (R) -8 cm cut off.

For me (1,88m tall) it is the best option with a WS. I would say 80% less noise and turbolances comparing to the standard R-WS. Completly shield off would be perfect for no noise, but in case of optics a no-go!

I have an 1190 R 2014 model on order - early December arrival. I will be looking at a small screen to remove the noise levels. Thanks for the info.

I may attempt to make a curved screen (towards the rider) to lower the height further. My current Aprilia Tuono has no wind sound issues above the normal low screen wind noises.
