To save reading through 10 pages - accommodation on Saturday night - where is everyone staying (ie where should I be booking)?

Are many of you planning on going SOUTH from East Cape (and not head to back Whakatane or where-ever)?

Remember I have beds available in New Plymouth for Friday night if you want.

Mike

Is where Phil and I are staying Mr Young. Day 2 after finishing the ride we are kazooming back towards Opotiki. We dont have any bookings there yet but there are a few old wooden pubs and some Motels, cant see finding a bed an impossible thing (famous last words ). A few of the Mainlanders have mentioned heading South, Plenty of accomodation at Tologa, Gisborne and Wiaroa. What the heck, if you survive Kawerau you could spend a night in Ruatoria

About to order a new E07 for the ride - up to $200 for a rear now...... (sound of heavy thud as ex-KLR rider falls heavily to ground clutching wallet to heart)

Can you guys set up one of those ticking down clock things so I know how much I haven't got organised yet?

Just bought an E09 for $179. Need to shop around a bit. . My guys know that I expect them to match the best advertised price I can find.

Phil I'm assuming that this will be mainly gravel & tar? I'm aiming to come on an 80/20 tyre (caste off from EddieB) to save my good knobs for later. If not I'll leave something more aggressive on.

Yea, all gravel and tar. Not looking to play offroad on this one. I am fitting K60s as have wanted to try them on the Beemer. Was looking at E07s but can't get a tubeless front.
