Just about a week and a half to go, how's everyones rig looking? Mine is pretty much there. I just need to spoon some fresh rubber on and clean up the wiring for the lights.

Where are you guys mounting your road triangles? I figure I'd just strap mine to the rack, but it's a bit cumbersome ad ridiculous looking.

Yeah, that road triangle is a real PITA. If anyone has found one that folds up nice and small, post it up. I'll buy another, and put the one I have in the wife's car. I don't have a rack, so I guess I'll try to make it fit in my camelbak. Along with the other stuff. the sign, first aid kit, etc. I really don't want to "upsize" to a full on backpack. That reminds me, I guess I should get off my butt and put that first aid kit together.

The hot ticket there is to empty the sand out and zip-tie it to the swingarm.

Ride looks sweet! I can't wait to see it in person... mines in a few pieces right now but should be together and ready to go this weekend (nothing like last minute)

I came up with a pretty slick triangle solution (IMHO) that folds flat and goes in a PVC tube mounted to the tail of my bike. I'll post up pics tomo...

Although I would use velcro instead of zip ties for quick removal. I've used my triangle at Black river and glad it wasn't zip tied. I crashed in a twisty section, and needed it quickly for the guy behind me.

Word.

Good point.

I did put mine on with releasable zip ties now that I think about it.

I think I could break them anyway given sufficient adrenaline.

Braden, your bike is looking sweet! I just read the build thread on it. I just got my 690 running. It had a dirty fuel injector. Fingers crossed it will last thorugh the rally... Looking forward to seeing everyone next week!

Thanks Ryan!

Glad you got the 690 sorted! I've heard a quick scrub with acetone or brake cleaner does wonders for those injectors every few thousand miles.

Right back at ya, I can't wait to see how your Boxxer von Hämmern comes together. Definitely a real dirtbike. A vintage HP2 of sorts.

Is the plan to run it at BRM?

There's an ISDT 40th reunion event here in late august that i definitely want to ride in, then possibly the Trophy qualifiers in mid-late Sept, but even if that last one diestn work out, I still need to get the bike to South Carolina to be transported across the country by MId Sept, so no BRS on this bike, and we'll have to see how the planning department shakes down another lost weekend in that limited time frame

If the bike works though, I would love to do Sandblast on it. :fingerscrossed

Your bike will work!

I think I'm too chicken to run sand blast on a 500lb bike. I have my limits.
