The DL's gotta be some kind of record, like longest ownership by an experienced rider and barely in triple digits on the odometer. Now if I could Borry it, i'd be IN. I still might be in but I can't plan this far ahead.

Hey it's pushing 500 miles, and I've only had it six months

I'm trying to talk the wife into it. If I can I'll be on it. If not and I go I may have some 17's for the 690 because I hear them are some curvy roads

Any guesses on budget needed for trip (not counting gas and bike expenses)? I see the train costs ~$225. By October the DR back tire should have a complete slick, I should be all ready for those curvy rides.

Probably can't as I'm on a super tight budget for school (I camped off a dirt road in the woods by Cedar Key to save a few $ on the cross fl ride). But it sure sounds fun.

Figure 3 nights worth of motels, but there will be plenty of floor space...and I usually don't charge for floor space...and whatever chow you want....we're all pretty cheap bastards, after all I do ride a BMW.

What motel rooms no camping....let me guess you don't like cooking your chicken right on top of the charcoal either. Still considering this ride if I can make things work out.

Don't think Sanjoh is into taking the train 800 miles to Va. to slab 500 miles to TN.

Even putting up with my shit for 4 days would be better.

Hello

Hello- gang....I would love to do the trip again but lots of changes going on right now.....I am headed to ILL. next week my mother is ill. I will then return to SF to gather a few things and go to Babson Park.

You guys stay out of trouble and watch for the POLICE on skyline and Blue Ridge PKWY.

I am taking my ER with me to ILL so that I will have something to ride there......

Take Care-Paula
