TT Engine Guards

Ugh. I installed the TT Engine guards (lower) and there is no clearance on the right side between the spark cover and the bar. The cover rubs against the bars. I have loosened the bolts and tried to readjust them several times, but to no avail. Not too happy about it. I think I may go to H&B or SW Motech. Anyone else experience this with the TT bars?

No telling, but I was told the whole headlight assembly was about a $1,000 to replace. I have a TT guard on mine.

I made a template for the halogen light the hard way. I'll cut the film and apply it tomorrow afternoon unless I get too busy with other stuff. I've got enough film to do 8-10 lights so I'm not too worried about screwing it up the first half a dozen times.

Probably my favorite quote on the 31 pages of this thread so far. I have the LED and am fairly certain it is plastic as well. I will be getting a guard as soon as I make up my freaking mind on which one.

I am surprised I am the first to mention Happy Trail Luggage on the WC ... I ordered mine (Tetons) last week and the guesstimate is three weeks for delivery ... anybody running Happy Trail Luggage, or engine guards for that matter? I also ordered the engine / upper guards through Happy Trail and have had some fitment issues with the right side but HT is working with me to get it straightened out ...

I've not fitted my Wunderlich risers yet, they look like they may foul the BMW tank bag. Has anyone with the 35mm up and back risers got the BMW small tank bag?

Thumb Rox adjustable risers

At the BMW MOA rally last week I helped Chris Olin, Pres of Rox Risers, set up his prototype of 2.25" adjustable risers, for the GS LC. Satisfied that they would work with a bit of cable rerouting, he's given the green light for his team to start manufacturing them and they should be available online in about another 3 weeks.

I currently have the prototype of his 40mm block risers on my GS LC and his adjustable risers definitely can bring the bars closer to the rider. I'll be a happy camper when I get my hands on them.

Full disclosure: I've been helping Chris test the implementation of these risers but otherwise have no connection to the company. Just a satisfied customer over the years.

RichBMW, there is no interference between the Wunderlich 35mm bar-backs and the small BMW tank bag.

That looks real good, are you going to cut one out for the high beam side? I

As I recall it was LED because the folks I was with and I were talking about how much the replacement parts were likely to cost.

AND if they'd be available any time soon.

Parking the bike near the Touratech booth would have made me wonder and consider the possibility.

The fact that the bike was parked in a distant tent camp location has me doubting a nefarious intent because marketing is a Touratech strength.

My right one touches the intake sensor cover very slightly.

I asked the TT tech about it and looked at some of the others they'd installed and it looks like the guy was right when he said "they all do that".

Micatech pilot cases

Anyone else trying to figure out how to put the pilot cases on this bike. Just got did my first road trip with the new bike and am painfully aware of how spoiled I was with the Micatechs!
