Instrument Cluster / Tach / Lights Failing

So I recently got a 2004 950 adventure and have been overhauling it for a trip to Alaska. I have an issue where while riding, the instrument cluster, tach, and lights would all go dead while riding. It came back online almost right away but would do the same thing any time I hit a brake or a blinker.

It is not totally consistent though. Any known issues with something like this? I have just replaced the battery and have tested it and it's good. I removed the tanks and checked pretty much all connectors on the bike and cleaned them but didn't see anything so far that looked like it was an issue.

Any ideas as to what this could be? (My thinking was a short somewhere). Towards the end of the ride it stopped doing it.

Cheers,
Chris

Have you checked connectors behind the instrument cluster, in the front light area?

Those are pretty much the only ones I have not checked yet. I did a quick visual, but since I had to take the tanks off I started with what would get covered up again.

I'm going to do the check for parasitic drain (needed a fuse for the multi-meter so I could not do it yet.) I'll be doing that tomorrow as well as checking the connectors you mentioned.
