but rossi was in front of him, not behind. AB assumed he had clear track, come on dude, it's the first lap, unless you're already 2 seconds off the front, or stalled on the line, you will never have clear track! he believes rossi moved over on him, but the video from the copter says different. Idiot move that luckily didn't result in injury.
wonder what that crowd that stormed the front straight would have done to him??

Qualifying on the front row would solve the problem.

If he did it to a back marker like Colin Edwards it wouldn't have mattered ?

Ramming Colin Edwards into the kitty litter would not have made Bautista look any less of an idiot.

He changed his line rapidly, and went to where he could not see. If that´s not reckless, then what is? Not the first time he´s caused a nasty collision, either. But no penalty, just a “racing incident”?!?! Ooookay.... I gotta say personally I would have awarded him a few points for it.

On the marquez crash:

In the heli cam shot, dani had a wiggle at the same spot as where mm broke traction, from what I saw

Anyone confirm?

F them

They drag NASCRAP programing nearly 1/2 hour into what should have been the Moto2 race coverage then cut off the last 1/3 of the race. Then go back to more roundy round Budweiser, Ernhardt Jr do nothing, Kyle Petty do nothing, fat car left turn 'this is racing?' CRAP

ARRGGHH
Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't watched my recording of Moto2 yet so I just set the DVR to catch the Tuesday replay.

A classic Lorenzo performance there, and now firmly back in the title chase when combined with Marquez' getoff.
Also more of the "new" Pedrosa here...also being Mr. consistancy and a solid second place despite issues and still looking very strong for the Championship. Albeit lots of "what ifs" there...if Marquez kept the rubber side down, if Crutchlow had a couple more laps, if Rossi wasn't punted out...but that's racing!

Strikes me as a total douche-bag.
Lots of talent on a bike, but a douche-bag none the less.

I think whether it's racing motorcycles or bicycles one of the first rules of conduct is to not change your line radically when in a pack of riders and for the experienced rider to suspect that if you are not on the ideal racing line expect that someone else is there unless you can see otherwise. AB couldn't see where he wanted to be, assumed line to be empty, assumed wrong, and caused the crash.

Pedrosa had a little dig at Marquez in a radio interview: "Marquez' race was surprising after falling so hard on Friday, and he wasn't good on Saturday, but we know he copied a lot of our settings. They gave him all the information we got on Saturday to improve traction and I suppose that's easier."

I imagine he was a little irked that his 5-point loss to Lorenzo yesterday could easily have been 9 points because Marquez was on his tail most of the race. And at Qatar. And at CotA.

And I agree that while it was a racing incident, Bautista made a mistake. On the first lap, the assumption always has to be that, unless you're in last place, there are other riders surrounding you.
