Heres a bit more of an update on my travels, plus a rough map of where i have been the last three days.

The new all USA wheel bearing seems to be running fine. I am getting a little more than 500kms to a tank of juice on the 91/94 fuel, but the low octane drops it back sometimes more than 50kms per tank.
This is the USA / Canadian border... just a ditch.

Crossed the borders of Washington Idaho & Montana, noticing that helmets were not compulsory in Montana. Still left mine on though.
This was just out of Bonners Ferry

And this was along the Koontenai river & moyle river.

As i mentioned above Yatman & Canadian Chris mentioned Glacier park & the road to the sun.
Now i must say for my $12USD at the gate i was more impressed by the Glacier National Park & the Sun road than i was Yosemite.
Some pictures for you non reader types out there.

More to come when i can find some internet thats not run by monkeys on rotating wheels.
oh & some goats too.

Yep its snow

Great pics. I've been told about Glacier as well....on the list.

Something wrong with your milage or you've got an extra large tank or my math is crap or the 38mpg average I keep seeing posted is wrong.

500k is approx 300 miles and standard tank you'd not be wanting to go below say .8 us gallons left in tank. Wiki says you've got a 5.8 us gallon tank. Wiki might be wrong of course. Surpised wiki also says the 990 is down to 5.2 us gallons.

Anyway 5 us gallons into 300 miles is 60mpg.

8.2 us gallons. . Say you're pulling in to fill at 7 gallons down then 42-43mpg.

Okay, that's about what I'm going to be expecting then and 4 gallons down be filling at 160 miles or so.....doesn't seem enough. You've done we'll with the big tank!

Hodgo, your are just teasing Rod with those goat photos aren't you.

How is the temperature so far?

The roads look to be a bit better than you find over here.

Where are you heading to next, and are you going to Gettysburg?

Loving the goat pictures.
More pictures good.
Math is impossible.

So are you going to check out Yellowstone National Park?
Its worth about two days to see it all.
Lots of other cool stuff to see around here.
Let me know if you need any advice.

I thought it was the "Other" blokes on that "Other" island that had all those likings for livestock.

And you always ask questions why us Americans are all armed.

To keep us safe from you weird ass foreigners.....

AND with him coming back to my place for a few days I am going to have to hide my dog from him......

Good thing I dont live on a farm.....

Hodgo in Idaho Falls

Well Hodgo stopped by Casa Questor last night.

I've never seen so much stuff piled on a SE before.

First we gave him a cold beer.

Then we cooked meat.

Then we drank more beer and ate food.

and later we busted out the funny animal hats.

And finally Hodgo signed the shower curtain.

A successful ADV "Tent Space" experience.
