Wheel repair is holding up well. Atigun pass & the road to prudhoe nay certainly put it to the test.

Was nice going north but cold wet & sloppy on the return trip.
The cold coming down was starting to make the bike cough and splutter so hopefully a spark plug change may help unless its a failing coil pack.

Ice Road Trucker territory.

Be careful heading south. Lots of water around Colorado if you're heading that way.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Alaska iz cold

You know its dodgy when its a Combination of snow & rain & the bike fans keep coming on. The bike is noticeably getting hotter&hotter.

Your helmet visor starts to stick shut from iced condensation.

I managed to find a stream not far down from the pass so I could use my trusty army cups canteen to wash the mud out of the radiator that was completely blocked.

As someone once told me the stuff that they put on the dirt roads is like concrete once it dries.

All part of the adventure right.

The beer at the 49th brewing company was pretty good. But I learned that the Denali park is now Closed for the season to public vehicles only organised tours may enter.

So Im crashed out in my farter listening to the rain on my tent in Healy hoping that there wont be any ice on there like yesterday.

Too bad about the park being closed, we were there about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. Stayed at a place called Carlo creek a few miles from the park, the tents are under cover http://www.denaliparklodging.com/ The pictures and story are an inspiration

Hadn't heard of the diesel version Africa Twin. Must have a wicked clatter on cold start-up.

is there a betting pool on whether he'll get snowbound before he gets south of the 60th parallel?
