Not sure where you are but i just saw a weather map on TV of the North West of the US plus BC, the weather looks dismal to say the least.

Cheers. Ed

Leaking seal

[QUOTE=Hodgo;22441442]
Rhs fork seal leaking again but it stops leaking sometimes too.

Firstly an EPIC ride and thanks for sharing

Re the seal - believe you may be able to run a thin feeler guage between the seal and fork leg to clean out any crap that may be causing problems
If its already leaking you don't have much to lose if you try
Some of the KTM owners here may have some thoughts on this

Otherwise enjoy the ride
And thanks again for sharing

Laugh October Canadian update

so i thought i had better add some more content to the ride report in case some one wanted to do what im doing this time of year and like me is not totally familiar with the weather and lay of the land.

It's now the first of october and the weather pretty much all the way from the Alaskan border has been cold. I am so gratefull to ak650 for the use of thr vest i cant begin to describe. Although sometimes it does get a bit hot on the back of the neck and needs to be turned off for a while.
From the Alaskan border through the Yukon there is not a lot of inhabitants, at one place north of Watson lake i did meet a trapper who was prepping for the winter. But his winter consisted of not seeing any humans from oct right up till early march. So that should give you an idea of the isolation in the area.

Everywhere i stop most people are busy prepping for the winter. Quite different from the winter i know.

Civilisation doesnt really start again until fort st johns.

riding through Regina (allthough the locals pronounce it like the girls bit with an R.), a bloke yelled out gday to me asking where i was from & he was quite surprised to find out i was an aussie.

He was riding a harley D but the funny thing was he had followed me to mickey D's and offered to buy me supper.

After a while of yarning in the carpark about where i was going and where i had been i accepted his offer of coffee.

A really nice bloke who turns out was one step from homeless , had just lost his licence and barely had two bob to his name but was excited to be buying me a coffee and learn about the world, plus he was easily over fifty.

So i have crossed paths with some pretty amazing people on my little north american journey for sure.

Plus i have noticed that th canadian from edmonton and east all speak with a very distinct "irish" accent.

sitrep....

morale is high,
clean jocks & socks
Plus new music to listen to courtesy of rob.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

I have one thing to say from my keyboard Hodgo. Drop the vest and add a teaspoon of cement to your maccas coffee and HTFU

See there is your problem...

HTFU

That is where his issues lie...

And since he isnt bothering to update this ride report in a timely enough manner I hope enough people continue to give him shit it will take him a day to read through it all and get back to them.

Sean-no...(sp??) you have been awfully quiet as of late....

Wait a minute after all the crap he told me about you, and the stories, you mean to tell me that finding the time to give him shit while he is out about menacing the livestock on another continent is hard to do?

Maybe it is you that need to HTFU (borrowed that term from your country mate). Because honestly you really are not holding up your side of the bargain.I mean I only have so much time in a day to spend on this stuff, with you being on the other side of the planet we should be able to cover this 24/7..

Just sayin....

Some say Sean-0 has been seen talking with Shane Warne a bit lately and it is taking up a bit of his time.
