Indicators in the USA or not?

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to take our bikes from Switzerland to the USA for some time.
Want to do the TAT.
Now my bike does not have indicators. They are not really necessary over here. Do I need them in the states?
Thanks for your knowledge.

Cheers Thomas

Hi Thomas - laws regarding turn indicators vary from state to state so you need to be aware of local laws depending on the states that you plan to ride through. Your best bet is to refer to this website and click on the states that you plan to visit or pass through - this should give you n indication of what is required by law: http://www.bikernation.net/motorcyclelaws.htm

I would think with a Swiss plate you would be fine. I know where I live in Missouri if they are on the bike they must work. But, if there is none on the bike thats fine too.

Enjoy the TAT..

I am pretty sure as well that most states' law enforcement would honour these:

This one seems to get the most use here in the states...

LOL - that's not exactly exclusive to the US - we get that here in Canada often enough but usually followed by a perfuse apology for resorting to profanity :)
