Not necessarily. If i'am doing 43-45 on my s10, then this mosquito can easily do 50.

Twins are a different story.
You can't judge bikes just on displacement.

FZ6 does worse then S10 with half the displacement.

Yamaha are saying 48mpg.

The more I look at that MTDM pic, the more it reminds me of a Buell.

What is TDM then??

xj600 does almost 50 in the same riding conditions. Two up, and app 100lbs cargo.

I don't think my FZ6 ever got less than 50mpg. It really is a remarkable bike.

This FZ09 looks very interesting, especially with the windscreen and bags as shown above.

True.. but from what I've read, the S10 can get better commuting MPG figures
then the FZ6.. and I got a lot better results with my 650R twin also.

It's all in the wrist control. I've had TDM back in 2003 till 2006 and that bike could reward you with some excellent mpg's that s10 cannot match. Pretty obvious, isn't it. I'am sure that the new "tdm 850" will match the press release consumption, or it's gonna be even better. I just hope it's not going to look as hiddious as the one from previous post's.

Luca Bar does lots of stuff but I don't know whether he actually has anything officially to do with YAMAHA or not..

I think he should.

Just after the Super Tenere came out he did a TRX 1200..

It never appeared...

I like the idea of this bike, but I couldn't wait for it come out so I got this instead.

SGRider,

What bags are those on your FZ1? They fit the lines of the bike nicely.
