FLy to RIde or "Um hon, I went & bought me a motorcycle and it's 2000 miles away"

Well, I’ve been delaying starting this report long enough, and since I’m leaving today, it’s as good a day as any!

The Plan
Fly out of Providence, Rhode Island to Fort Lauderdale, Florida later today (May 31). Sleep in the airport tonight (apparently terminal 3 is the most comfy, thank you innernetz), and then cab it to the shop first thing Saturday morning where Don has left my new baby, a 2006 Husky TE610.

Ride down to Key West for some conch fritters, grab a pikchur at Mile 0, spin that puppy ‘round and head north, north, north the sloooooow way.

I’ve got a tent, some cooking stuff, three pairs of underwear, some paper maps, and a smile…what more could a girl need?

Get in touch with FlaRider1 if you can. He's down there and I bet he'd love to make the Key West jaunt with you if he's able.

Safe travels, and congrats on the new whip! Solid bike right there. :)

I wonder if the fuel capacity or seat will be the limiting daily mileage factor... ;)

Awesome adventure.

Have a safe trip, and don't forget the tentspace list.

I made it to Ft. Lauderdale. If the flights are any indication, this is going to be a bit crazy. Somehow an easy flight from Providence to Newark turned into a "this is your captain speaking...we will be making an emergency stop in Albany New York as we are running out of fuel."

and my bed for the night

It'll be an interesting trip if unexpected detours are the theme...

Nope no hotels anywhere in the state, they only have hotels down where you live.

Since they do not teach reading comprehension down where you live I will provide you with some assistance. They are having an adventure so instead of making it a mundane boring trip straight down and straight back they are doing it the fun and interesting way. In fact, this entire website is based on that concept, pretty neat isn't it?
