Shipping a de-smogged 950 to California

Hey all. I am getting ready to move back to CA from Hawaii and shipping my baby (950A) over. It has had the full 'ectomy done and I just freaked out when I remembered how nuts CA is about smog crap. Its been 6 years since I lived there, do you think I'll have any issues with registering it? I think I still have the heap-o crap to put back on if so. It needs to go back on on this side o the pond though because I'm not paying to ship that junk over there! If I get there and they give me problems it could be bad as I am massively addicted to this thing and may possibly die if I can't ride it for too long. :

They might want to see the federal sticker, under the left tank. Other than that, I don't think you'll have an issue.

You shouldn't have a problem as long as the bike has more then 7500 miles and the sticker that says it is 50 states/CA emissions certified.
Also, make sure you know where the stickers for the VIN number and the engine serial number BEFORE you go to the DMV.

Well 7500 miles I can take care of. Where would I find this 50 states sticker? It was sold new in Hawaii, hopefully it is 50 state legal!

As I just posted, it's under the left tank on the frame. Requires removal of the tank. VIN numbers are stamped (not stickers) on the headstock, engine # is right above the shifter.

And the 7500 mile rule only applies if you buy the bike out of state. If you're moving to CA and you owned the bike already, the mileage rule doesn't apply.

+1 to all that.

When registering a 950 SM a few years ago I brought in from Wisconsin they wanted to see the engine number in person as well So I let them crawl around on the ground until they found it
